For several years, I did step aerobics, kickboxing, and spin classes, which resulted in tight hips, tight calves, and shin splints. Then, a friend of mine suggested I try yoga, and I fell in love after my very first class. After practicing for a while, I noticed that I became more flexible; my hips, calves, quads, hamstrings, and shins all improved. More importantly, my breathing improved, and I started to focus more on being in the moment and in my body. My concentration also improved, and I felt more conscious and became more aware of my connection to the universe.

 

Yoga, to me, is a gift--a gift I share and tell everyone about.

 

I completed my 200hr RYT training with SAMA Yoga School (hosted by BeYoga – Marietta, GA) in 2016. When I am not teaching yoga, I spend time practicing yoga, reading, and studying Eastern Yoga Philosophy. I also love jogging with my husband, traveling, visiting with my family, and taking spin classes.

 

I tell everyone that I am able to do the things that I do because of this gift called yoga.
