Huda Al-Qatami, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, LPC

My yoga journey began in 2006 when I first stepped onto a mat and fell in love with yoga.  It is a joy for me to share this ancient practice with others and an honor to teach.  My teaching style is inspired by yogic philosophy, Buddhist teachings, and the practice of mindfulness.  In my classes, you can expect to move between held poses and flows, always with an emphasis on the breath, safety, and mindfulness.  I also teach some pranayama (the formal practice of controlling the breath) and meditation and provide gentle hands-on adjustments.  Be aware that you will often be encouraged to smile in my class!

Training:  I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2008 at Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta, and my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 at Subtle Yoga in Asheville, NC.  I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 level.

When not teaching I spend my time practicing yoga, meditating, hiking/backpacking, going to kickboxing and yoga classes, traveling, reading, spending time with the people I love, and always learning.
